You Don’t Know Until It’s Gone

By: 0

Today I trained not just for my health and well being, but because I woke up with the chance to do it.

I’m sure you all heard about the horrific event that occurred in Las Vegas Sunday October 1st that is going in as the worst mass shooting in us history.

One man was responsible for 59 lives and over 500 injuries of innocent people who came to have a good time and listen to some music with friends and family.

It hit me a little more personal because I had 3 really good friends that were in the carnage of the fire.

My friend described it as the scariest moment of his life and if he or any of them would have ran 5 feet in either direction, they wouldn’t be here today.

It’s scary to think and realize how precious life is.

As important as it is to be fit and appreciate the fact we are able to train, make the decision to eat healthy, or just wake up I guess.

I’m writing this because any one of us could have been there.

I didn’t go because the tickets were sold out when I tried to buy them.

Appreciate the day you have.

Hug your loved ones, enjoy waking up and not snoozing the alarm, take time if you have to make breakfast and your coffee or tea.

“They say you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. The truth is, you knew what you had, you just never thought you would lose it.”

This Explains that we take a lot for granted and I want to remind you, that I care for every single one of you.

I will make sure to remind you of that, but if I don’t, just know I do. My life wouldn’t be the same and I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I didn’t wake up to help everyday.

My family, significant other, my job, my cat, are all things I take for granted.

Keep working hard and enjoy life, because it’s precious.
