    Before joining EFP, I had always had a fitness membership at a gym or club. I would do early morning spinning classes, yoga classes and lift weights. I would do routines I found in books and magazines but never really saw long-term results. I was also injuring myself by lifting incorrectly and having a weak core. So I had to switch it up constantly. Back hurt? Do arms. Shoulder hurts? Spinning class, etc. I had been successful at losing weight but always gained it back over time.

    Since joining EFP, I am leaner and stronger than I have ever been. I enjoy waking up at 4 or 5 a.m. to get my class in before work. I started with 2-3 classes a week, and I’m now at 4-5 weekly. I sleep and eat better, feel and look better and perform better. I have better mobility and no injuries. Every day I come in and put the work in, I walk out feeling this sense of wellness that I’ve learned I need in life.

    Giving credit where it’s due, the coaches here and their knowledge and motivation play a big part in this for me. The coaches/owners are all about fitness, nutrition and proper techniques. Quality first, quantity comes later. They supervise us to make sure we are doing the exercises safely and effectively. I feel fortunate to have found such a great place. Elevate Fitness & Performance has everything one needs to become a well-rounded athlete.

    I would definitely recommend Elevate Fitness & Performance to anyone looking to better themselves and feel great. You will have to put the work in, and your reward is to get lean & strong. The excellent coaching staff are 110% behind you, as are my fellow members. We all have one goal to better ourselves. We are excited to do burpees for 10 minutes or pull down the rowing machine.     (Before EFP) I was fairly sedentary, working 8-10 hours/day, mostly sitting. My only activity was walking my dogs for about an hour a couple times a week, nothing too strenuous.

    (After EFP) I’m leaner, more muscle mass (which is the most noticeable difference for me), more energy/stamina, improved confidence and motivation to do things outside of the gym, improved body image, more focus on health/fitness in all aspects of my life

    I’ve been to a few other CF gyms and have not seen any other coaches dedicate so much time and emphasis to proper movements, mobility, and safety overall. The emphasis on foundational movements and scaling to suit any person/level of fitness makes this an ideal gym for anyone, not just hardcore CF athletes.

    Before I started training with Nick and the coaches at Elevate Fitness, I was primarily doing cardio with very little lifting. My routine was sporadic at best and the results showed it. I weighed 250 lbs. I was not as strong as I had been in my youth (but who is?) and my diet needed a serious overhaul. I was tired, and though I would walk the dog 2x/day, I was not in very good shape.

    I have been training for a year now, and at the age of 53, I have lost over 15 lbs. of fat and gained over 10 lbs. of muscle. I can deadlift 295 lbs. (just off from my youthful best of 300), my blood pressure hovers around 110/70, my resting pulse is 58, I participate in Spartan Races and Tough Mudders and complete them (no small feat), and I have a ton of energy.

    I would highly recommend the coaches and members at Elevate Fitness to anyone who is considering a supportive, encouraging, and challenging workout and gym. These guys know their stuff!
